I like this hotel - never had a problem in the three times I’ve stayed here and I actually feel safe. Security in the parking lot makes me feel better. Most the parking is actually free. Very quiet and peaceful, I don’t hear anything during the day or night. Like at all. Nice beds and best sleep of my life tbh. Don’t understand the bad reviews, I had to leave a good one because I felt bad. All the people at the front desk are helpful despite the reviews, they just mind their business and don’t do too much. All this place needs is a few updates, maybe new elevators.
I understand that this place isn't a "5 star hotel", but it deserved this 5-star review because it really exceeded our expectations. Staff at the front were friendly and efficient, the room was large, airy and clean, and we had a large balcony. In the halls you might find the carpets old and tired, but for us this was excellent value and a really pleasant experience. Recommended!
Honestly not as bad as the reviews say, do people not research the area they’re staying in before they book? The room we had was clean, the air conditioner didn’t work but if you keep your balcony door cracked before you fall asleep it stays a comfortable temperature. No issues with hot water like the other reviews say. It does smell faintly of cigarettes but this is not the Hilton, we are from Reno so every hotel we have smells far worse of cigarettes so it did not bother us at all. The “blood stain” on the ground like another review says, is clearly not a blood stain, blood stains are not hot pink. It looks like a child spilled juice or a red drink was spilled and it stained. There’s a security guard who watches the gates at night for parking. We have a new car and it wasn’t bothered at all. We stayed for the entire weekend (fri - sun) Front desk ladies were nice on check in and check out. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and shower honestly can’t complain. They have really nice pillows in the rooms. The beds are a little stiff but I’ve paid $120 a night at a motel 6 for a worse bed.
I've stayed at Airport Executive several times now, the rooms are huge, well kept and the views great - especially at night. The parking helps to allow you to be stress free of leaving your car parked in Oakland. A nice place to stay...
I booked before I read the reviews and upon reading them I was kinda hesitant but everyone was very nice, the staff was amazing, the customers were very nice, it wasn't scary outside like all the reviews said it was dark and next to the airport but what do u except I would recommend staying here and Will stay here again! The hotel was clean, guests and employees were very nice and there was a security guard there on site almost all night for those who want to walk outside past midnight but parking wasn't bad and enjoyed our stay very much !
Basic, no frills, clean rooms, competitively priced. Plan on $10 parking, no coffee, and worn lobby. You won't get those $70 rates from travel sites - its about $110 on weekends (2025).
Interesting hotel, I always felt safe with alot of action. The vending machines in the lobby we shut off, the ones on my floor (6th) were functioning with a limited verity. No problem really. 4 minute Uber to terminal 2 at the Oakland Airport. I reserved a 3:30 am Uber and the driver was right on time. I live in Stockton and still prefer the Oakland Airport as my goto for non-stop flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
It's fancier than you'd think! The rooms are very nice, and by the looks of the outside and the location you wouldn't expect such a wonderful room to stay in. And it's nice to know that your car is safe since the parking lot is closed and there is a guard watching it. That part alone makes it worth staying here. Helpful staff, clean carpets, clean elevator... Even a very clean room! Such a convenient location right in the middle of everything it's almost quite literally a diamond in the rough!
